First mentioned in 484-425BC in the writings of Greek historian Herodotus, the Phoenix is a sacrid fire bird with vibrant coloured feathers and tail.
This creature looks fierce, however it would never kill a single living thing. It survived by eating spices and satisfying its thirst with dew.
These magnificent birds have a very long life cycle of 500 - 1000 years long.
When the bird's death approaches, it builds a nest of twigs to lie on, then it would be engulfed in flames until a pile of ash remains. From here, a younger bird or egg would appear from the ashes and lives the same life cycle.
If a human could obtain a Phoenix, this creature is capable of extreme healing powers and has a cry which is very soothing.
