In the Celtic Christian religion, they are typically known as 'fallen angels' while in English, they are known as a 'fairy' or 'fairy woman'.
The Banshee's job is to warn selected Irish family members about their time of death. The number of families the Banshee can look out for is 4, although this can be extended through marriage. Also, if several Banshees appear at once, it is a sign that someone great or holy has died and they are said to appear at places with great sorrow or pain.
The Banshee is rarely seen, her voice differs from region to region, some people say it is low and pleasant which helps comfort the family member and make them feel good. Others say it is a mixture of an owl and a wail which would hypnotize many, and others report her singing which can do the work easy.
There are three main of many forms the Banshee can take. One is a young woman, another is a rich middle-aged, and the final is a fragile old woman. She is also said to be a wash woman who is seen to be washing blood stains out of the endangered victims clothes.
In terms of clothes, Banshees are said to either wear; a grey hooded cloak or a grave cloak.
Their hair are usually long and combedwith a silver comb. If one is to ever come across a similar comb, it is suggested that you should not pick it up as you might be spirited away.
